Re: Invoice forms
Tue, October 3, 2006 - 11:09 PMYou know, sometimes people give me fancy crazy invoices that look "professional" but are hard to read. So I started giving my clients (which are film companies and network TV shows) a very very simple form which I think is apprecaited by the accountants. You can throw a logo onto it, but it's easy to read, easy to fill out and includes this info):
Invoice Number:
Invoice Date:
Client:
Contact:
Job Description:
PO Number:
Total Due:
Due this invoice:
mail check Payable to (you):
ssn reference (yours):
Address (yours):
CONTACT (yours):
If you need to add up some numbers just use this form in excell or something of that nature. -

Re: Invoice forms
Tue, October 3, 2006 - 11:43 PMMark's right. I just make one in Word and usually just e-mail it to the client, which I've been doing for years. It doesn't have to be fancy, just functional.

Re: Invoice forms
Tue, October 10, 2006 - 4:24 AMI agree that it has to be simple and easy to read. I am a Filemaker Pro Guru -- I created a simple and powerful Invoice System for my own consulting business that populates item lines from a pre-defined list, calculates taxes, discounts, etc, generates a PDF file and sends it to the client in a matter of minutes. (Seconds if you are really fast)
It also keeps track of all your clients and their billed totals. Now is this just like QuickBooks? Not quite. While QuickBooks is an amazing value for the price, it cannot be customized.
I would be happy to customize my basic system for your exact needs, please send an e-mail for more info, screenshots, etc. to:
